Cult Collective is now seeking a Director of Sponsorship & Sales to join The Gathering team.

The Gathering is a 3-day masterclass for global brand leaders, agencies and entrepreneurs. Each year, we unite high-profile business executives to learn from and celebrate some of the world’s most iconic brands like Marvel, Spotify, Netflix, Barbie, Skittles and many more. This role is accountable to the growth and development of The Gathering's presence and reputation through sponsorships, and through the acquisition of large (10+ individual) team and group sales.  This is a "community development" position that expands the footprint of The Gathering, both in attendance and in collaboration from large organizations that will contribute both their people and their products to our events; thereby enhancing the experience for all attendees.  


Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and defining the sponsorship strategy, pricing models, sponsor and partner benefits, in conjunction with the client.
  • Includes review of sales operations processes and systems and client services
  • Pipeline development through networking from existing relationships and client relationships, where appropriate.
  • Research, creating customized pitch decks and proposals to vetted target brands and corporations.
  • Managing all negotiations and the agreement process including creating partners benefits grids, marketing tactical calendar & media scheduling (in conjunction with marketing & sales operations), payment terms and ensuring delivery of an accurate, fully executed agreement to the client.
  • Client services and ongoing relationship management.
  • Working collaboratively with all team members, suppliers and contractors to ensure an exceptional customer, partner and sponsor experience at The Gathering 2022.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as digital marketing agency, PR, sales, etc.
  • Assist Manager of Operations with the onsite execution of key partnerships.
  • Support overall execution of virtual & onsite experiences (hybrid model for 2022).
  • 1-2 week commitment to travel / stay in Banff, Alberta.
  • Execute post-event follow-ups, surveys and debriefs with partners.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in partnership management and sponsorship sales.
  • University degree and/or college diploma in business, marketing, and or sales.
  • Familiarity with macOS/iOS environments.
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel & Powerpoint, Adobe, G-Suite & Outlook.
  • Bonus: experience in CRM systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport and able to travel between Canada and the United States.
  • Passion for the event & marketing industry and continuous learning.
